(B. E. CHEMICAL, A.I.I.I., A.I.E., A.I.Ch.E. [Chartered Engineer])

  • Eng. Kamal brings over 30 years of experience in the Loss Adjusting and Risk Survey field, with extensive expertise across India and EA. He began his career with the internationally reputed J.B. Boda Surveyors Pvt. Ltd. (India) and later served with Allied Assessors Ltd., Nairobi for over four years.
  • He is Chartered Engineer and Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Surveyors & Loss Adjusters, Eng. Patel also holds memberships with several distinguished professional bodies, including the Institute of Engineers, the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Insurance Institute of Kenya, and is an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (UK) as well as a Foreign Associate Member of the Association of Average Adjusters (USA). He is also an Accredited adjuster of FLORIDA, USA.
  • Currently serving as member of the Institute of Risk Surveyors & Loss Adjusters (IARS Kenya), Eng. Patel has successfully managed a wide range of Engineering, Property, Fire & Liability claims along with risk inspection assignments across East Africa, earning recognition for his technical precision and professional integrity.

Mr. Raphael O. Nguta - Loss Adjuster

  • Mr. Raphael O. Nguta is a member of the Insurance Institute of Kenya and the Institute of Risk Surveyors & Loss Adjusters (IARS Kenya). He possesses extensive experience in the fields of Loss Adjustment and Risk Surveys, developed through years of professional service with reputable organizations in Kenya.
  • He has previously served with Equity Adjusters Ltd. as a Loss Adjuster and Risk Surveyor for four years, Risk & Safety Management Consultants Ltd. (RISMAC) as a Risk Surveyor for one year, and Cunningham Lindsey (K) Ltd. as Marine Manager at the Mombasa Branch for one year.
  • Mr. Nguta has successfully managed a wide range of Non-Motor, Marine, and Risk Survey assignments, demonstrating strong analytical and technical capability. His specializations include Loss Assessment and Adjustment, Fire Risk Surveys and Safety Measures, Risk Evaluation, Valuation of Plant and Machinery, and Claims Investigation.

  • He specializes in Loss Assessment and Adjustment, Risk Surveys, Risk Financing, Financial Valuation, and Loss of Profit (LOP) Claims, applying both technical and financial expertise to ensure accurate claim evaluations and fair settlements.

  • He previously worked with Morrison & Associates Loss Assessors, where he handled investigations and property loss assignments, and later served as an Insurance Executive in the Claims Department of Arab Orient Insurance Co. Ltd., Dubai (U.A.E.) for two years.
  • Mr. Juma’s areas of specialization include Survey and Loss Assessment, Cargo Surveillance, Cargo De-stuffing and Supervision, Valuation of Plant and Machinery, and Risk Surveys.

  • With over 40 years of experience in the loss adjusting profession, Mr. Kalidas has built a distinguished career across Tanzania and Kenya, working with leading firms such as Tanzania Surveyors & Loss Adjusters and Toplis & Harding for more than 25 years.
  • A Fellow of the Indian Institute of Surveyors and Loss Adjusters, he brings deep technical expertise in managing large-scale property loss assessments, with proven specialization in Business Interruption and Machinery Breakdown claims. His extensive regional experience and professional insight make him a highly respected figure in the East African insurance and loss adjusting industry. He is associate consultant for TEA.
